Great Egret

A sunny winters day here in Texas prompted me to visit my favorite wildlife refuge this morning. The temperature was warming up a bit, and the birds seemingly were enjoying a prelude to springs soon arrival.

This beautiful Great Egret, plumage all a flowing in the wind, greeting me upon my arrival and allowed me to take several shots before departing to whereabouts unknown.
