Nat Geo Traveler 2012 Photography Contest
Below is my entry into this years competition.
Caption: Located at the foothills of the Cascade Mountains
just east of Seattle, dwells an awe inspiring place called Rattlesnake
Ridge. After hiking in some very inclement wet weather, I came upon this
beautiful scene seemingly straight out of a storybook. The lush and
vibrant colors of the foliage taking center stage as the shadowy ridge
loomed in the background providing a blanket of protection from the
outside world.
